At most, I was flirting with the idea of getting an instructor earlier this year for Disc Golf. I’ve been playing casually semi-regularly since 2020, but really haven’t been taking it seriously until about a year ago. Up until this season - I was getting by on YouTube tips and trick videos, form breakdowns, field work on my own, and the like. While all that helped to grow a base of knowledge about the game and familiarize myself with a couple of shot shapes as well as get comfortable with a few different discs — I definitely felt myself hit a skill ceiling. Internet research and self-teaching in the field could only get me so far. That’s when I started lessons with Ken Ulozas And I’m so glad I did I have only had maybe 8 or so total lessons and in just that short of time - Ken has unlocked the next level of my ability Within just the first lesson he was able to identify the major problem areas in my form and since then we’ve been refining, improving, and advancing My overall confidence, consistency, and ability to execute has noticeably improved. When I started with Ken - my controlled golf distance capped out at 300ft. That distance has been to extend to 350 — and that’s not MAX distance - that’s CONTROLLED golf distance. Before - I would not have even considered holes in the 330-350 ft. range to be even remotely reachable. Now they have birdie potential I was recently able to play a little 9 hole course for the first time since starting lessons with Ken. Playing the course and the resulting score was markedly different.
